Dr Akhtar Hameed Khan (15 July 1914 – 9 October 1999) is recognized globally as one of the outstanding social scientists of our age.
- He is best known as the author of two remarkable and internationally acclaimed community development projects.
- Comilla Project (1960, Bangladesh) and Orangi Pilot Project (1989 Karachi).
