Dr Akhtar Hameed Khan Memorial Trust signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Muslim Hands Azad Jammu and Kashmir on September 27, 2022 for a period of ten years.
Under the agreements both sides will work in areas of solid waste management, environment and climate change relevant initiatives, research, trainings and entrepreneurships.
Muslims Hands AJK and AHKMT will devise an annual action plan and make this plan of action see light of the day both sides will jointly mobilize their resources to generate funds.
The two sides also agreed in principle to jointly take up initiatives like establishing Integrated Resource Recovery Centers, training of youth as entrepreneurs, research work and capacity building in area of solid waste management.
AHKMT and Muslims Hands AJK also agreed to implement joint ventures for which separate agreements and detailed roles responsibilities would be charted down.
Meanwhile, e-Guard Training Centre signed another Memorandum of Understanding with Muslim Hands AJK’s representative Dr. Muhammad Nasir on September 29, 2022 to work on an initiative Black Soldier Flies as well as other solid waste management initiatives.
Both the sides agreed that the profit earned from the project will be distributed on equal sharing principle after managing the running expenses like human resource, medicines, chemicals, raw material, maintenance and utilities.
To further the agenda of trainings, a Memorandum of Understandings was inked between e-Guard and Muslims Hands AJK representative Muhammad Idrees Burhan. Under the agreement the two sides will work jointly for training initiatives.
Both sides agreed to utilize e-Guard platform for the purpose and later the partnership would be registered.
Both sides agreed to conduct online and face to face trainings initially and later to expand the scope of training as per need and requirement with the passage of time.
