Presently he is the Chief Coordinator of Adult Basic Education Society (ABES), Rawalpindi. His contribution as an educationist is commendable. He is successful in establishing ABES- Teacher Empowerment Centre through which thousands of teachers have been trained on Multi grade Teaching\u2019 Joyful Learning and Child Friendly Schools and Quality Education approaches and modern techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2<strong>  Mr. Hamidullah\/Trustee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since last two decades he is involved in uplifting the communities of marginalized areas of Rawalpindi. He is a community based activist leading a team working for improving sanitation conditions in Rawalpindi. Mr. Hamidullah is also attached with a research based NGO namely Children\u2019s Global Network, Pakistan, implementing child cantered methodologies and creating democratic classrooms in Pakistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3 <strong>Ms. Almas Shakoor\/Member<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> She has 13 years working experience with national and international NGOs. She has working experience on development related research activities\/projects include, mobility and health, participatory community development planning through Citizen Community Boards (CCB), Impact of Globalization on home based small-scale paddy processors, assessment of gender issues in flood prone areas, to find out environmental, social and economic factors of \u201cRawalpindi Environmental, Enhancement project (REAP). She has wide experience to organize, conduct and evaluate trainings events. She is an expert trainer on: disaster management, PRA tools, labour laws, consumer protection, time management, social mobilization, organizational management, health and hygiene, gender and disaster. Additionally, she has expertise in development of training manuals and modules for undertaking capacity building interventions at national level. She has extensive experience and expertise in community development, education, health and hygiene, projects and programme coordination, implementation and management. She also has experience to launch and implement advocacy and social mobilization campaigns, having experience of translation from English to Urdu on development issues include: Gender Dimension in Disaster Management, training manual on Community Policing, Rural Transport and Traction Enterprises for Improved Livelihood\u2019 and \u2018Planning and Designing Rural Markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4<strong> Ms. Sumaira Gul\/ Board Secretary &amp; CEO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sumaira Gul, has been a driving force in advancing Dr Akhtar Hameed Khan Memorial Association\u2019s mission to promote sustainable development across Pakistan. Under her visionary leadership, AHKMA has experienced significant growth, particularly in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and solid waste management. Sumaira\u2019s commitment to environmental sustainability is evident through her extensive work in establishing and managing Integrated Resource Recovery Centres (IRRCs). These centers have become models of effective waste management, transforming organic waste into valuable compost and other resources. Her role as a master trainer in waste characterization studies has been instrumental in educating communities and stakeholders about the importance of sustainable waste management practices. Beyond her technical expertise, Sumaira\u2019s leadership has empowered AHKMA to become a key player in the sector, fostering collaborations and innovations that contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment. Mr. Fayyaz Baqir<\/strong> (Former Chairperson)<br>Chairperson Fayyaz Baqir is currently the Director of Akhter Hameed Khan Resource Centre. During the past two decades he has worked on documenting, mainstreaming and supporting participatory solutions for improvement of environment, sustainable development and local governance. Mr. Fayyaz has served as the Unit Chief of UNDP\u2019s Small Grants Program and consultant for UNICEF and numerous other development agencies. He has taught at various universities in Pakistan and the United States. He has also led missions to more than 25 countries within and outside Asia Pacific regions during the past decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2 Mr. Arif Hasan\/Member<\/strong><br><br>Arif Hasan is a well-known architect\/planner, academician,<br>researcher and development activist. He studied architecture at the Oxford<br>Polytechnic and has been a consultant and advisor to many local as well as<br>international NGOs, and bilateral and multilateral donor agencies. Since 1982,<br>he has been involved with the Orangi Pilot Project (OPP) and is the founder<br>Chairman of the Urban Resource Centre (URC), Karachi.
